The Gaches Mansion now belongs to the Quilt & Textile Museum!

The purchase of the Gaches Mansion by the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum was completed March 1, 2005, 10 months after the Quilt & Textile Museum Board offered to buy the historic building from the Town of La Conner.

The Board of Directors of the Quilt & Textile Museum will now be sponsoring fundraisers and applying for grant money to make possible necessary repairs and renovations. Accounts have been established with Key Bank and Bank of America to receive donations for the Gaches Mansion, La Conner, Building Fund. The La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductible.

Current Shows:

"Barns & Botanicals"

March 19 - May 11, 2008

Works by Laura Fogg

Textile artist Laura Fogg is a master of fabric collage landscapes. Her original designs have a 3-D effect, often a distant view framed by a highly detailed & enlarged foreground, elements spilling over the edge. The effect is dynamic & stunning.

"MetroTextural"

March 19 - May 11, 2008

Manhattan Quilters Guild
Curator: Sandra Sider
The Manhattan Quilters Guild, an eclectic group of professional fiber artists, created "MetroTextural" to celebrate the visual feast of New York City. Each of the 21 works is a quilted 36-inch-square that somehow relates to texture & the City.

Upcoming Shows:

"Spice of Life"

May 14 - July 13, 2008

Association of Pacific Northwest Quilters 6th Invitational Traveling Exhibit
